| High grade concrete generally
has low porosity. Very often these pores are partly filled with water. In
order to ensure high penetration depths in such cases, the use of solvent-free
alkyl-silane is recommended. With this method, the pore volume that can
be reached by impregnation is filled with the undiluted agent. Because of
its high wetting effect, the alkyl-silane in FUNCOSIL
SILANE 100 does not need solvents to acieve high penetration
depth. Depending on the number of flow-coating procedures applied any desired
penetration depth can be achieved. In tests with steel shelled B45 concrete,
penetration depths of 4-6 mm were achieved in three treatments with 700
ml/m2 in total. |
